In 1982, the third-year students of the Agronomic Institute in Bucharest have been preparing for two weeks the imminent visit of Nicolae Ceaușescu. The main exhibit is an experimental variety of banana acclimatized to be grown in Romania. One of the evenings, the group of students gathers at Adrian Voicu's house. The embezzlement by one of the colleagues (Mircea Mistodie) of the bananas from the exhibition throws the characters into conflicts that must be resolved until the arrival of Ceasescu. The next day, the students cover up the problems together with the teacher in charge of the exhibition pavilion (Comrade Vasilescu).
