Elisa is a German lecturer at the University of Bucharest, part of the German Academic Exchange Program - DAAD. The portrait video was part of a worldwide showcase, where German teachers share their experience in the countries they lived in. Its purpose is to make the destination appealing for individuals who want to research, study or teach abroad.

 

Elisa stayed in Bucharest for 3 years together with her family. We agreed on sharing an honest opinion about life as a teacher in Bucharest. We shot around her neighbourhood, the school she teaches at and the park she walks her kids in. She wanted to write her own voice over to make it more personal. The narrative emphasises on the particularities of living in Bucharest, doubled by a visual description of her relation to the city.
